I have begun the project of tracking down the mysterious ancestors that our parents and grandparents have spoken of. The timeless stories of grandpa trekking to school in deep snow, uphill both ways with no shoes is now up for inspection. Please take a moment to locate your family and if you find any errors or if you have some more information to share, contact me. It would be my pleasure to add any info you may have.
I have also included names and dates of my birth mothers' family under the Reppert name and I will be including my birth father's family name of Mahinski, so stay tuned!
Below are two links that I have that will direct you to the family tree and all of it's members. It is hosted off of Genealogy.com and it's free, so that explains that. The other link is for a tangent project. I have been heading out to local cemeteries to find our dearly departed. Once I find someone, I try to clean up the stone, cut away any grass that may have overgrown it, and then photograph it. The Find A Grave website is a great site where I can post the pictures and locations of our beloved ones and our distant relatives can still see the stone without having to trek across the state, or venture into an area that they are not comfortable in.
The links at the top of the page are for a Family Album of sorts and for any of the associated files. IE: Census Records, Military Draft Cards, Funeral Cards that sort of thing. I also have a blog for all of the updates that I make, so check back often!
