| The sites were complete sand.
We were the closest sites to the beach and the view was beautiful. Jeani, Josh, Amy, Maria, and Kevin all competed in the Cheeseburger Fest
5K Fun Run and Josh came in 3rd in his class! The weather we had was nice at first, but as the week went on, the wind picked up to hurricane
force. We had to either take down our canopies and awnings or stake them in with ropes. Matt and Amy decided to position their truck in
such a way as to create a break wall for the wind. They also put a tarp across three canopies, (the Lewtons, and the Angyals and their own),
to create a shack of sorts to stop the wind. The kids enjoyed the beach and the older kids enjoyed the festival. They all went to the "rave"
twice! Once with the foam sprayed at them and once with glow slime. |
