Good park, time of year made it really buggy. Mosquitoes were quite bad! The bike trail that ran alongisde the camp, was converted from the old train track bed and led straight into town. Went shopping, and saw the Mackinac Bridge. We took a tour of Fort Michilimackinac and they did a cannon demonstration. We had brought Brandi with us and she freaked out when the cannons blew! The soundwave from the blast echoed down the bridge trussess! That was pretty cool! The kids enjoyed the bike ride and we even took the bikes over to Mackinac Island. While on the island, we went to Fort Mackinac and toured it briefly. Matt a few jokes about a wigwam exhibit with a mannequin inside. He affectionately named him, Count Mackinaw! |
